What you should know about Non-Addictive Bravo®
Tobacco
Free, Nicotine Free
BRAVO® is the
only clinically tested, no-nicotine smoking product in the
world today. BRAVO® is made from the leaves of pure fresh
lettuce, processed and treated with enzymes and flavored pleasantly
with organic herbal extracts. BRAVO® looks like a cigarette,
is packaged like a cigarette, draws like a cigarette and tastes
(well pretty close) like a cigarette, but... BRAVO® is
not a cigarette. It does not contain any tobacco. And here's
what's most important to you: since it has no tobacco, BRAVO®
is entirely free from nicotine. It has none of that poisonous
chemical that science has long recognized, and the giant tobacco
industry is beginning to admit, makes tobacco smoking addictive
and destructive.
"My life's goal has been to break
this deadly addiction"
by Puzant C. Torigian, D. Sc.
As a college student in New York, I had
a challenge. I wanted to develop a practical smoking substance
that would be less harmful than tobacco.
Even in those days, medical scientists believed
cigarettes were harmful, but in those early days the message
hadn't registered on in public.
Through a career at as a research pharmacist,
manufacturing and marketing executive in the pharmaceutical
industry in both in United States and overseas, I continued
to harbor my dream and worked to develop the product that
would make it real.
My commitment has taken
40 years to realize. The pro net, BRAVO Smokes, looks and
smokes like a cigarette but is made from fresh lettuce treated
by a process I have patented. Now, it is available to the
public.
Because of your commitment to quit smoking--no matter how
often you may have tried and failed BRAVO will help you break
the smoking habit entirely. It will do it easily, naturally
and gradually at your own pace. Thus, there are just two things
you need to stop smoking:
1. Your strong commitment.
2. BRAVO to make your commitment work.
Why Quit?
By purchasing a BRAVO Survival Kit, you
have demonstrated your commitment to be free of a dangerous
and unattractive habit. There are very good reasons to keep
your commitment strong. The dangers of tobacco smoking and
nicotine addiction are in front of us everyday. There is no
longer any question that tobacco smoking causes cancer, heart
disease, strokes, emphysema and other ailments. Even the cigarette
packages warn that what's inside can kill you. Studies have
shown that the individual addicted to nicotine is the more
likely person to become addicted to alcohol or other drugs
as well. Smoking transforms people into social outcasts.
How does it feel to sneak a break and shiver
on the sidewalk or in the parking lot because your office
or factory doesn't permit smoking ... or hoping that your
boss does not pass by?
Think again of the guilt as you realize
your children must share the second hand smoke they know is
deadly when you light up at home. Consider the places and
experience at which you are not welcome as a smoker: the homes
of friends, business conferences, theaters, many restaurants,
sports and entertainment events, almost anything to do with
keeping fit.
Today, just as sure as they cause lung cancer,
cigarettes make second class citizens of the smoker.
Isn't it time to "Be Somebody" and stop
smoking?
A Special Message To Women
There is an alarming increase in the number
of women who become ill because of smoking. In 1985, lung
cancer overtook breast cancer as the leading cancer killer
among women. Yet many women keep on smoking. This is an example
of the need for strong commitment. It is easier to have periodic
breast cancer check-ups than to get rid of an addiction. Women
need the help BRAVO can provide. And even the lucky ones who
don’t contract disease are apt to lose their looks to smoking.
It causes wrinkles, stains the fingers and teeth and fouls
the breath, hair and clothing.
Pregnancy is the ultimate good reason to
quit. Smokers have a higher risk of miscarriage, premature
delivery and neonatal death. Even after childbirth, the mother's
milk will carry nicotine to her baby. The risk to women is
growing at an alarming rate. Twice as many girls than boys
start smoking in junior high school.
What Does Nicotine Do To You?
The human body is able to build a level
of tolerance to many poisons. Nicotine is among them.
But it is a powerful poison, and your liver
can detoxify only a certain amount of it each day. This amount
that the body can handle varies from day to day. It depends
partly on your nutritional intake, physical exercise, emotional
mood. When the amount of nicotine you ingest exceeds what
the liver can handle, you may experience toxic symptoms. Like
these:
- Insomnia
- Indigestion
- Constipation
- Hoarseness
- Dizziness
- Nausea
- Dry Mouth
- Irritability
- Sore Gums
- Sore Throat
- Night Blindness
- Gas Pains
- Headaches
- And More...
Think of how distressful your first cigarettes
were. Still, you conditioned yourself to tolerate this enslaving
habit. You talked yourself into being hooked on in smoking
habit.
Now, even the behavior of nicotine withdrawal
can give you hope for quitting successfully. The addiction
to nicotine is more psychological than physical. Breaking
in habit may not be so hard as you imagine, You have developed
over years of smoking, a "nicotine mentality". You have hypnotized
yourself into believing you are enjoying the rotten taste
and foul odor of tobacco smoke. You can break the chain of
nicotine habituation. You can wake up from your self-imposed
trance and begin to enjoy smoke-free living.
Now, How You Will Do It
The enemy to conquer is nicotine. Remember
you have a strong addiction to nicotine. But it is largely
a psychological addiction. Your system for a while will tell
you it needs nicotine but, through the strength of will and
commitment you recognize that this is an addiction of the
mind. And your powerful conscious mind can tell your body
right back that it can and it will recover from that mental
dependence on nicotine.
Do You Really Need BRAVO
Let me be totally candid. Like thousands
of other smokers who have succeeded, if you want to quit strongly
enough, you can quit cold turkey. Motivation is the key. Not
just a casual attempt but a total unyielding will to stop
smoking. Ask your friends who have quit smoking when their
doctors said: "Stop smoking or update your will." Many needed
no further persuasion. They just stopped, with no crutches,
no patches or pills. Your motivation will determine how long
it will take you to quit.
BRAVO Makes It Easier
With the natural BRAVO lettuce smoke, gaining
freedom from the bondage of tobacco is made easier. You smoke
a BRAVO instead of an ordinary cigarette, until the time comes
when you don't need either one.
In the meantime, you go through the motions
of smoking. You get the physical and psychological satisfactions
you've associated with smoking, like opening the pack, lighting
up, puffing, inhaling.
A smoke at the coffee break and after a
meal. You go through the ritual that are associated with relaxing
with a cigarette. And while you do so you are quieting your
psychological addiction to nicotine. Never mind that you may
be fooling your own mind for a few days into believing your
getting nicotine. Actually you are nursing your mind back
to a healthy reality. And it will work.
You'll find that BRAVO becomes a conversation
piece for other smokers who will see the pack you take from
a pocket. But generosity can be harmful. Don’t bother to pass
the pack of BRAVO around. Smokers not interested in quitting
will be sure to criticize, to protect their own habit. Don’t
forget that it takes several packs before you come to like
any new brand.
BRAVO is the gradual, easy and natural
way to quit smoking.
One Of These Three Methods Is For You
Pick the next special day on your personal
calendar to start as soon as possible, a birthday, holiday,
anniversary. Then do it!
1. Quit Cold Turkey. This is the
most courageous and uncomfortable way to discard the smoking
habit. Get rid of all your tobacco cigarettes, matches, lighters
and ash trays, If you absolutely need a smoke, go outside
and smoke one BRAVO to satisfy your craving.
2. BRAVO Alone Method. Destroy all
tobacco cigarettes. You will smoke only BRAVO. Keep a record
of your individual smokes. If during this second day you have
not automatically reduced your smoking, decide on a target
for a smaller number of smokes on the third day. Set your
own pace for quitting. The important thing is that you continue
to reduce the number of smokes you consume.
Many smokers quit successfully after using
one or two cartons. You are on your way to a new sense of
well being. A feeling that may have left you years ago.
If you are a very heavy smoker, it may take
you more time to quit. On the other hand the heavy smoker
is the first to feel improved when he switches to BRAVO alone.
He or she has more to gain and knows it.
3. Tapering Off Method. Each day
you alternate BRAVO with a tobacco cigarette. To make the
method even more effective, I urge you to change your own
brand. Pick one you don't like. Now you have two new tastes
to cope with rather than one you have been used to. Keep a
diary, record and reduce the percentage of tobacco cigarettes
you are using until you are smoking only BRAVO. At this point
you will activate method number one above. Smoking BRAVO only.
Then by the day you have target, you will
have quit smoking entirely. And, you are only human. There
may be a time when you absolutely want to have a smoke-be
smart, make it a BRAVO so you won't get hooked again.
What To Expect From BRAVO While You’re
Quitting
- The smoke won't smart your eyes.
- Smoke won't burn your throat.
- A lighter, cleaner ash which shows no presence of certain
dangerous carcinogens found in burning tobacco.
- A whole new taste without nicotine.
- Without nicotine, the aroma will be different. Accept
the different taste. Enjoy a more pleasant aroma.
- You'll get up in the morning with a fresh taste in your
mouth and no nicotine details hammering on the top of your
head.
Tips To Help You Quit
- Keep a diary of your smoking pattern. Progress will keep
your mind on the goal and make it reachable.
- If you have trouble, don't get sore at yourself. Just
go right back to your chosen program. And remember, you
have two more programs you can follow.
- Tell your doctor what you are doing. He or she has every
reason to want you to quit smoking. Some doctors already
are recommending BRAVO as a way to quit. Your doctor will
have suggestions on diet, exercise and good habits for you
during transition from smoking to health.
- Treat yourself nicely. An ice cream cone when you need
it or a candy bar won't hurt most people and will give a
lift of pleasure when you need one.
- Place support slogans in places where you will see regularly-by
the phone, in your office or bedside, even above a mirror
in the car. Visual reinforcement is a valuable aid. It motivates
you to think about the rewards of success rather than surrender.

Nature Has Been My Ally
I discovered years ago that to survive merely
for fun and frolic would be an empty existence. By age 35,
1 was fortunate to have fulfilled my own sense of achievement,
having created and developed other successful pharmaceutical
products. What next?
There was the dream that I had followed
which involved leaving a beneficial legacy to mankind.
As a smoker of a pack and a half of cigarettes,
like so many of my friends and business associates, fully
aware, (as a health professional) the harm this pleasurable
(?) addiction played in our lifestyle, I began to research
a workable solution to the problem of smoking addiction or
habituation. I experimented with a number of natural substances.
After many failures, I recognized that the solution was not
in man made science but in nature itself.
I could "cure" and convert garden lettuce
leaves into a smoking product that people could accept.
At first I saw it as an alternative to tobacco, another brand
that people could come to enjoy and go on smoking for years.
But the appalling consequences of smoking haunted me and led
to the decision to formulate and market the product as the
most effective way of giving up smoking altogether.
It took some time for me to come to accept
nature as my divine ally. Eventually, my discovery duplicated
a process found in nature. By starting with a wholesome vegetable
and utilizing natural enzymes, I was able to produce a
product to help smokers get rid of nicotine and of the tobacco
habit at the same time. This I thought deserved to be called
BRAVO.
And so it is.
